
Government Revokes Rule that Increased Pix Monitoring

The government backtracked on the update implemented by the Federal Revenue Service in the e-Financeira system , which came into effect on January 1. The measure aimed to monitor transactions via Pix and other digital means that exceeded R$5,000 per month for individuals and R$15,000 for legal entities.
The announcement of the revocation was made by the Secretary of the Federal Revenue, Robinson Barreirinhas, after a meeting at the Planalto Palace with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad , held on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 15 .
